Is Jessica Simpson Latina?

There is at least 1 Jessica Simpson profile on a celebrity profiles database in which Jessica Simpson’s ethnicity is listed as Latina. We’re going to go out on a limb and say that this information is inaccurate.

Jessica Simpson is not Latina.

So where did that celebrity site get the idea from that Jessica Simpson is Latina? Either it was just a data entry mix-up, probably had Jessica Alba in mind, or mabye it had something to do with this:

May 2006 - Last night’s American Latino Media Arts Awards in L.A. drew the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria, Michael Douglas, and Jimmy Smitts, but it was Jessica Simpson who stole the show. She was there to present an award for Outstanding Actress on a TV Show to Scrubs star Judy Reyes, and showed up sporting a ¡Viva Miami! orange frock, curly brown hair, with skin in utter tandemonium.
